A comparison (July 2005)

Train & Multiply®
Paul-Timothy
T&M® is suitable for long-term programmes of on-going pastoral training and church multiplication. P-T is suitable for new efforts that require training materials quickly while awaiting a T&M translation.
T&M booklets are more widely tested and proven in many languages and peoples. P-T has not been widely adopted.
The 2001 and later version of T&M is much improved with many corrections from the original author. Though written by the original T&M author, P-T has not been widely tested.
T&M Booklets are more thorough in their treatment of topics.
P-T studies deal with a wider variety of topics, but more briefly.
T&M booklets are geared to pastors of more traditional congregations that may have a preaching ministry. Each study is written in two forms: (1) for novice leaders of new cells and congregations, and (2) for children's workers.
Each T&M translation has professionally-drawn art that is adapted to its culture region. Art in P-T studies is scarce and generic, and should be replaced by those who translate them.
The T&M menu is keyed to suggested training and mentoring methods as well as to booklet titles. The P-T studies present very little on training and mentoring methods.
Earlier versions of T&M were written primarily for nominally-Christian populations, whereas the 2001 and later version is more generic. P-T studies assume a non-Christian population and novice workers with a non-Christian background.
T&M materials focus on reproduction: pastors and missionaries training new leaders, and young congregations birthing new congregations. Some P-T studies deal with reproduction but mostly help novice "shepherds" plan their weekly activities and congregational worship times.
